Long time no see! How you been? It's been four weeks since the last update but we've had some exciting footy played since then.
The race for the Top 8 continues to intensify.
The Panthers continue to stun the competition leading the premiership ladder along with the Sea Eagles and Bulldogs on 24 points.
However teams from 4th to 10th are all tied on 20 points which includes heavy weights the Roosters, Rabbitohs and Storm. I expect to see the Top 8 finalists become much clearer in the next couple of weeks.
Special mention has to go to the struggling Sharks who have stunned both the Broncos and Roosters at home in two massive half comebacks which now puts them in a fighting position to avoid the wooden spoon, starting with a massive clash vs the Knights this weekend.

Lastly, congratulations to the NSW Blues on a hard fought 2-1 series win that breaks the 8 years of anguish. QLD put some pride back in the Maroon jersey winning the dead rubber 32-8 which now sets up a tasty 2015 series. I can't wait already.
Round 17 was another reduced round due to Origin.
It started on Friday night with the Manly Seaeagles looking to put away an Origin-hit Bulldogs side after a string of impressive victories, however the Dogs have other ideas, grinding out a hard fought 23-16 victory at ANZ Stadium.
On Saturday the Dragons continued their winning ways with their halves, Marshall & Widdop, continuing to show signs of improvement per game by leading the side to a 27-24 win against the Cowboys.
The Roosters were then stunned 30-28 by the Sharks who had a flood of off field dramas during the week and were expected to be beat by 50+ points. The defending premiers were in full control leading 24-0 after 33 minutes before the Sharks mounted a 2nd mighty come back in 2 weeks.
On Sunday, a fumbling Wests Tigers were no match for top of the table Panthers, going down 26-10 infront of their Leichhardt Oval faithful, while on Monday night, the Gold Coast Titans upset the Rabbitohs 14-10 in a dour match at ANZ Stadium.
The defending champion Scott McCourt (Scotsta) continues to lead the competition on 107 points, but only by a single point ahead of Steve Rootsey (106).
Danz (104) & Redv4me (103) are in 3rd and 4th position respectively after both playing their Jokers this week. Feet Little, tais1, NZ Tiger and cmcnls+1day all sit equal on 100 points to round off the top 8.
