It's FINALS FOOTY time and I'm sure, whether your team has made the Top 8 or not, we are in for a treat over the next four weeks. As usual I'll be catching all the finals matches.
The season officially ended for 6 teams weeks ago, but last weekend 10 teams were still fighting to decide the final outcome of 8 spots on the NRL Premiership Ladder.
Unfortunately for Parramatta and the NZ Warriors, their seasons came to an end when going down on the road to both Canberra and Penrith respectively.
The Broncos, who were sitting outside the Top 8 after their loss to the Melbourne Storm on Frday Night due to a -3 points differential, have the Panthers to thank after Penrith's 22-6 win over the Warriors which in return allowed the Brisbane side to leapfrog the Warriors back into the Top 8 late on Sunday night.
So the Roosters (Minor Premiers & defending champs), Sea Eagles, Rabbitohs, Panthers, Cowboys, Storm, Bulldogs and Broncos will be fighting out this years finals series for 2014. Good luck to all the remaining sides from here!
In our Tipping Competition, the chase for the Top 3 on the Tipping Championship Ladder is still VERY MUCH ON!
Simply The Bears scored 6 corrects tips and, by playing his final joker, leapt from 4th spot into 1st place with a healthy lead of 4 points with 9 matches to go!
Also with 18 (of 38) bonus Pools Points finalized, with the Top 8 and Wooden Spooners confirmed on Sunday, the Bonus Pools Tables have now taken a slightly different look.

Round 26 kicked off with Premierships heavyweights The Roosters and Rabbitohs playing off on Thursday night. Both teams were eying up a possible minor premiership reward with a win, pending how the Sea Eagles got on against the Cowboys in Townsville on Saturday night.
In the end star half-back Mitchell Pearce steered the Sydney Roosters to a 22-18 win over South Sydney with Pearce having a hand in all three of the premiers' tries and chased down a flying Greg Inglis to save a certain first half four-pointer for the Rabbitohs.
After Kirisome Auva'a was sin-binned for a professional foul the Roosters went out to a 22-2 lead after 51 minutes but Souths fought back to post tries to Dylan Walker, Alex Johnston and Lote Tuqiri between the 65th and 75th minutes to set up a grandstand finish.
The Roosters' defence was up to the task in the final minutes, however, Jared Waerea-Hargreaves catching a John Sutton chip in the dying seconds to secure the win.
On Friday, the Storm secured a Top 8 spot with a 22-12 win over the Broncos who slipped out of the Top 8 with matches still to play. Captain Cameron Smith sustained the injury during the match and it was initially feared the 31-year-old had sustained syndesmosis, although he managed to return and complete the game.
On Saturday, the top 8 became a lot clearer after former Eels coach Ricky Stuart came back to haunt the Eels when his Raiders outfit upset the Parramatta Eels 33-20 in Canberra while the Cowboys temporarily leapt into the Top 4 (over Melbourne) with a convincing 30-16 win over previous league leaders Manly, who were denied the minor premiership for 2014 in the process.
Lastly on Sunday, the final pieces of the top 8 were put into place when the Titans upset the Bulldogs 19-18 to confine the Dogs to 7th place and a meeting with the Storm in next week's elimination final while the ex-Warriors coach Ivan Cleary and his Panthers jumped into the all important 4th spot and in the process eliminated the NZ Warriors from the finals race, giving the Brisbane Broncos 8th spot on points differential.
With 9 finals matches to go, Simply The Bears (171) has a 4 point lead at the top of the Tipping Championship Table ahead of Redv4me (167). 3rd placed Feet Little (166), The Neighbour (164) and defending champ Scotsta (164) are all nicely placed to pounce for 2nd spot with an eye on the top prize too. Sincas (161), NZ Tiger (160), 2012 champion sava4 (159), Lainey (159) and Butch (158) round off the Top 10.
