RIP Falvey

I was shocked to learn yesterday that 2015 Tipping Champion Falvey (Sam Falvey) had passed away very recently.

A couple of us had noticed after tipping the opening round, that he had couple of NO TIPS rounds which personally I found strange knowing he was quite reliable at getting his Tips in on time and hardly missed a round.

Falvey was originally from Greymouth NZ, lived in Melbourne and was a big St.George-Illawarra Dragons fan and he joined this competition in 2015, becoming one of not many Tipsters to win the Competition in their very first attempt. He also had strong Top 20 finishes in 2016, 2022 & 2024.

We will be entering the remainder of his tips & finishing off Falvey's last season in his honour.

I'm sure he would've wanted this & given he was a long time supporter of this competition, this is the very least we can do.

To do this, I'll be using the NRL.com site's Expert Tips and choosing the leader's tips each week, with the exception of picking Sam's Dragons every week no matter who they are playing.

If Falvey happens to win anything, we will make sure that his 'next of kin' receives this prize.

On behalf of Matt, Myself & everyone in our NRL Tipping Competition community, our deepest condolences to Sam's Family & closest friends.

May Falvey Rest in Peace.
